CHERIE WILCOX

There are many reasons why a person might feel stuck at work. Maybe it's the infamous golden handcuffs, maybe your job has become a habit that is no longer challenging, or maybe something just feels off? Perhaps you’re not growing, don’t have the chance to try new roles, be creative, or show your innovation? Do you work so much that you’ve forgotten to enjoy life? Can you afford to leave? Ultimately, what is all this work for?

Do these questions sound familiar? They are to me because I’ve been there too. I understand the fear of the unknown and taking that next step. I can help.

You have inherent brilliance and direction inside. Together, we will uncover your unique strengths, talents, and values, breaking through the barriers holding you back. We will create the clarity you crave and the confidence you need to take the next step in your life.

In addition to career and life coaching, I specialize in executive resume and cover letter writing for high-achieving professionals looking to reposition themselves or pivot into an entirely new industry. I love helping my clients tell their story in a way that highlights their accomplishments and unique value, empowering them to secure the roles they aspire to.

More about cherie

After graduating with degrees in art and business, and unsure of what my first job should be, I followed a hunch that staying in upstate New York wasn’t my destiny. My best friend told me about an incredible opportunity to work overseas with children as a camp counselor, so I boarded a plane to South Korea and then did it again the following summer in Augsburg, Germany. Loving life overseas and feeling determined, I eventually worked my way up to managing an eighty-five-room international hotel catering to NATO in Bavaria. I also saved for and executed a year-long journey from England to the Far East.

When I wanted to plant roots and build a career helping others, I returned to the U.S. and landed a job with the University of Colorado Boulder’s Career Services office. Over the next 20 years, I coordinated thousands of interviews between students, alumni, and employers, revamped the Career Services website, and eventually became Associate Director of the Leadership Team. In this role, I oversaw several departments, including Operations, Technology, Finance, Testing, and Customer Care, which impacted over 140,000 individuals and solidified my passion for creating people-centered solutions.

I’ve had the privilege of working with over 300 organizations, from corporations and non-profits to start-ups and international government bodies like NATO, as well as hundreds of university faculty and staff members. Whether guiding teams through technological transitions or working one-on-one with clients, I bring a holistic approach that integrates mind, body, and heart to create balanced, thoughtful solutions to complex challenges.

During my time as a coach, clients began telling me that I helped them gain clarity, make confident decisions, and feel seen and supported. This inspired me to deepen my practice, earning my coaching credential and completing the Coaching for Personal & Professional Mastery from Newfield Network. My coaching draws from a combination of somatic awareness, emotional intelligence, and language, ensuring that all aspects of a person’s being are addressed for the most transformative results.

I believe in continuous learning and growth. To enhance my coaching skills and support my clients in achieving lasting, meaningful change, I’ve completed a range of certifications and trainings, including:

  • Certified International Coaching Federation (ICF) Coach

  • Certified Enneagram Business Coach

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) Inspired Coaching

  • Certified Newfield Network Coach for Personal & Professional Mastery

  • Somatic and Ontological Coaching

  • Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF)

  • Pivot Career Coach

  • Career Construction Theory

  • Gallup StrengthsFinder Workshops

I’m currently studying Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to further enhance my coaching skills and help my clients achieve lasting, meaningful change. These evidence-based approaches are tailored toward coaching clients to achieve their goals with clarity and purpose.

Beyond coaching, I have a deep appreciation for the mysteries of consciousness and enjoy exploring the intersection of logic and wonder. From neuroscience and leadership to intuition and personal development, I combine the analytical with the reflective sides of life. Growing up in a family rooted in logic has given me a unique balance in how I approach both life and coaching. I believe in blending practicality with intuition to help people move forward in their careers and lives.

Outside of work, I love dancing, working out, indulging in Indian food, and satisfying my sweet tooth! My family and I live in Colorado, where we share our home with three cats and a black, lop-eared rabbit.
